Chocolate Apple Pops
Chocolate Apple Pops are super easy to make, are a super healthy treat and look like little pumpkins! Toppings are endless and it is simple enough, kids can help with this project. Gabrielle from @theveganmomma made these cute little guys with our new date-sweetened chocolate chips!
Ingredients
1 cup Just Date chocolate chips (or more depending on how many apples you use)
4-5 medium crispy apples, sliced top down around the core.
2 tbsp lemon juice
Large bowl of water
Lollipop sticks
Toppings like pistachios, salty pretzels, banana chips, cranberries, cashews, pumpkin seeds, dried mango - chopped into small pieces
Melt Just Date Chocolate chips in a double broiler slowly - making sure not to scorch them or in a microwave for 30-second increments, stirring each time.
Add lemon juice to a large bowl of water. Slice your apples and place them in lemon juice water to prevent browning. Once you have sliced your apples, spread parchment paper on a pan. Pat the apple slices dry and insert a lollipop stick through the base of your slice and up the middle. Then dip the lollipops into melted chocolate, and top with yummy toppings! Set in fridge for 10 minutes to harden.
